UI buttons are blank in Windows 10

Submitted: 1/26/2017
Since upgrading to Windows 10 the buttons on the VWR UI are blank. See screenshot attached.  It is otherwise fully functional, just really annoying!  I assume that the latest version will fix the problem but that is not in the budget right now. Have you seen this before and know a solution?

I have v 2.64.3

Hi Brad,

This is the reason why updating is important as windows improve, we also need to improve our software. May be this will help, http://www.howtogeek.com/228689/how-to-make-old-programs-work-on-windows-10/

Hi Brad,

The VWR is .Net framework based software so you could try the two but I'm not sure if this fix you problem.

The file attachment didn't take. Trying again.

Brian,

Ahh, I should have remembered that - you use .Net for scripting. But not the answer I was hoping for. :-(. I am a long-time .Net developer and all of my stuff is working fine, I have all of the latest updates and I have never seen that problem in any other .Net stuff. And according to Google, neither has anyone else.

Hmmmmm........

There has got to be something different about VWR. Not laying the blame on your software, but something on my computer is not playing well with VWR for some reason.

Brian,

Yes, I fully agree upgrading is important, but not in the budget right now. A full set of tests on the compatibility settings did not help.

If you could tell me what UI framework you are using, I might be able to narrow my search criteria and find something on Google that could help: WinForms, WPF, third party? I am assuming a third party UI as nothing else which uses WPF or WinForms is having similar issues.

Thanks,
Brad
