Hardware & Consumables Scrape

Submitted: 5/29/2013

On the Printerland site I need the following data:

Toners and Ink - The attached image (Image 1 Supplies) shows a supplies page for the Brother HL-3070CW Colour Printer. I need the h1 title for the product followed by the descriptions, part numbers, price (with and without vat) and the image file. I need all of the supplies from the site with the exception of the Zebra and Intermec products.

Hardware - I also need data for the following hardware products: Laser Printers, Inkjet Printers, MFP/All-in-one Printers, Fax Machines and A3 Printers (from the red nav menu at the top of each page). I have attached images which show the data required for each piece of hardware, one piece of data (bullet points on hardware) is from a different Tier to the rest of the data which you can access from the hardware model page (the images will explain) which are tabbed options on the product pages.

Hopefully this is enough information for you to help me create a webscrape for Printerland but if not please contact me and I will be happy to provide more if needed.

Regards, Julian

There is no good way to avoid the detection, you can attempt to roate multiple proxies in your project.

We've provided a free private proxy switch for you.

Thanks but I've never used this before and I have no idea how to save any of the templates in CSV format to view the data.
I have literally no idea what to do next, are there any demo videos to teach me..?

Please check the attached demo project.

The first 3 templates respectively lead you to capture ink details , hardware details and the 'hardware list' does redirect to the all 9728 products as you said, then capture similar details like in 'hardware' template.

note, I've disabled the 'hardware' link template via marked check 'disabled template ' option in Misc tab, you can re-enable the template where 's following the all steps as you described.

I could understand these screenshots, but I cannot find where they are, can you please give me specific guidance how to reach these details as you expect? i.e, please guide me to reach each page step by step then pointing out where those fields are. therefore, I 'm able to create the demo project for you, thank you.

Brief Overview & Brochures if possible.jpg

Ok I'll navigate you to each page numbered below:

1. Screenshot 'All consumables with images Part Nos _ Descriptions.jpg' - when you're on the homepage there are red navigation buttons on the header, one of the options is 'Ink & Toner Cartridges', select this option and a new page will open with links to all of the Manufacturers who Printerland supply toners and Ink for. I want all of the consumables so best to give you one example and you can then follow the same process for all. Click Brother (for example) and a further seven options display (in boxes) each box contains a list of machines so when you click on each one the relevant toners or Ink will appear. I need the data for every toner and Ink etc.

'Bullet Points on Hardware.jpg' - I also need all of the data for the hardware (Laser Printers, Inkjet Printers, All-in-ones/MFP, Fax Machines & A3 Printers) again found on the Red Nav bar on the homepage header, The Bullet Points on Hardware can be found (again using one example) when you click 'Laser Printers' then select 'Colour Laser Printers' then click 'A4 Colour Laser Printers' then 'A4 Colour Laser Printers Under £300'. This will open up a series of Printer options with a thumbnail image of the machine and a series of bullet points and a price and this is the data I need for every machine on the Printerland site.

Images _ Mini Description _ Price.jpg - The next piece of data appears when you actually click on the 'More Info' button which appears with the data needed in point 2. The top of the next page contains a short description, one or more images of the machine and the price.

Brief Overview _ Brochures if possible.jpg - Below the info displayed in point 3 you get a series of tabs, the first being 'Brief Overview' shown in the attached image. I need the data from the brief overview and the 'Compare Range' data below it if this appears.

Product Description.jpg - The next tab in the series is the 'Product Description' tab and again I need the relevant data from here.

6. Whats in the Box.jpg - The next tab along is 'What's in the Box' and again all the relevant data is required from here.

Detailed Spec.jpg - Next tab is 'Detailed Specification' which I also need.

Cartridges _ Accessories.jpg - The final tab is the 'Cartridges and Accessories' tab which will complete the data needed for this project.

Please bear in mind it is all of the data I require for all of the above. A good example of the number of products listed on Printerland is visable on their sitemap which you can view by clicking which shows 9728 products. We would like to create templates in VisualWebRipper which provides this data on a monthly basis so is this something it can do..?

Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else..!
